WINNERS OF 2017

Vancouver Shullai, 1st Prize Winner, 2017

Vancouver Shullai was the 1st Prize Winner of Wingword Competition 2017. He belongs to Shillong in Meghalaya. Upon winning he received INR 1 Lakh Rupees and 50 of his best poems were later published in a book of poetry called ‘How to Love a Broken Man’. He believes that the competition gave him the confidence to take poetry as a serious business rather than just a hobby on the side.

The second prize winner was Debarshi Mitra who won 50,000 Rupees  and third prize winner was Trijita Mukherjee who won 25,000 Rupees. Their poems along with the poems of other 200 winners were published in an Anthology called 'Wifi For Breakfast'.
