I am the Sea | Sakina Kanchwala

Saumya Choudhury
November 30, 2023

When I think of myself,I think of it as a sea.

Deep within is a world no one can see,

Darkness such that the monsters inside never flee,

Beautiful outside and restless inside,is what it means to be.

Full of water yet empty,

Salty so much, cannot quench the thirsty.

So powerful that it submerged ships and civilizations lofty,

So weak that the tides are run by the moon's mercy.
