SELFLESS- Ananya Tiwari

Saumya Choudhury
November 29, 2023

She sees them dancing

over the moans of her tears.

her words, dropping like fire,

burns no one but her.

Caressing her body,

leaving the wounds untouched,

she turns to the mirror

and seizing the rage,

sympathises with her own self.

I ask her - "why did you hide it all?"

"So it wouldn't bleed their ears."
